Hi, i'm new. I lurked on Bluekipper for years. I'm looking for a new place to lurk. I've been an Everton fan since about 1982, despite growing up in Brixton. To be honest back then I thought Everton was near Crystal Palace. When I was 13 I saved my birthday money and took a train to Lime st station and a cab to the game on my own. We lost, to Chelsea I think, but i've been devoted ever since, going to Goodison whenever I can. I only get to goodison two or three times a year but go to all the London games.
Remarkably, since 1982, I've been to 5 home wins. 5. In 30 years.
 

That would've been far more intelligent. When I was 7 crystal palace was a magical castle in the sky, where C3PO lived, and Everton sounded like a place in Narnia. Forever Everton. It would've been a lot cheaper to have fallen in love with Palace. I could've got the bus instead of a 40 pound train fare..
 

surrounding area around Goodison is hardly Narnia,

although a leisurely stroll down County Road these days may well involve a few run ins with some very strange creatures !
 
Brixton in August is like a circus freak show but I was still surprised by the characters I met after the Everton west brom game in March. I say surprised but I mean terrified.
 
Yeah, I live in the dignitas of South London. I have to go now, there are naked criminals outside trying to sell me crack.
Thank you for being friendly to me - it feels strange, but I suppose bluekipper exiles always feel like that.
