hello lads.

Anyone been to see Hertha Berlin?, going to be there for the weekend might take in a game.

Was it easy to get tickets and to the ground? good for a drink by it?

Alright fella! It was easy to get tickets when I was there, but that's when Hertha were in the second tier, so I'd say attendances have improved somewhat. That being said, the Olympistadion holds something like 70,000 so I imagine you'll get your hands on tickets as long as they don't happen to be playing Munich or Dortmund at the time.

You can drink in the stadium and they give you big plastic pitchers to do so within the grounds. You get your money back if you return them but they're a great souvenir so I held on to mine. There was this great outdoor beer garden that myself and the girlfriend went into on the way back just outside the stadium and they did nice fat burgers.

I'd recommend it, very passionate fans and a decent team with a cracking historical stadium.

...saw them play at Cologne in the old UEFA cup (I think) in early 70s. It answers your question but doesn't help.

Yeah I went this season,

Went to Nurnburg game, and it cost me €17 a ticket, i boght them online two months in advance and stood with the Ultras in the upper tier, it was a great experience, one i'd definitely recommend.

The Stadium itself is magical.

I stood in 37.1-37.2 i believe.

I did the stadium tour in the summer, the VIP seats are the comfiest I've ever sat in, even more so than BA First Class. So sit there if you can.

Yeah, I loved it. I've been keeping track of Hertha's progress since, but only really catching an odd game. The atmosphere was really quite something for a half full stadium, the singing section never stopped. They won 2-0 on the day, as I recall, so that was a bonus.

Just checked the fixtures, i didn't realise that they were now in the Bundesliga! thanks for the input lads. Looking forward to having a beer watching the game although its December so might be a bit cold.

Was in the standing section at St.Pauli and it was great so prob go for that section, hard to beat a day out a german match

Hertha Berlin always makes me think of golf. A few of my mates are big fans of the Callaway Big Bertha...every time I see Hertha Berlin I think of Callaway drivers.

The hardcore block is always sold out, but the sections next to them are available In the upper tier, you'll stand, and be in the thick of it, and won't have any stupid flags in the way, but will have a belting view.

Snap Mikey, been to the stadium when I was in Berlin, but not been to a game. Also went to the FC Union Berlin stadium, alas, never saw a game there either.
