Hernia

Has anyone ever had a hernia in their belly button? How bad did it get and how quickly? Asking for a friend who's not even fat and only 40

I'm 5'11 and about 175.
Had regular pain from a hernia in my belly button, complained about it and got it done. Very basic surgery and now my outie is an innie. I was 37/38

My Mrs had her gall bladder removed last year by keyhole surgery. She developed an infection so they had to open her up again and leave the wound open. The surface healed too quickly and this has now caused her to have a hernia. She was offered the op 2 weeks ago but with only 1 days notice so she had to refuse due to work commitments... now her pre op has expired and she’s back on the waiting list.
