I only wanted to take her for a nice meal, she is a married woman FFS.

Can't believe you considered pimping her out. I bet you would be the kind of dad to send your kids to stay with Michael Jackson at the Neverland ranch.

Cannot believe he's turned this into an Indecent Proposal remake ffs

Hiya mate, that's nice of you, if you do found one let me know via PM and we can come to an arrangement if you like :) and yeah it is, I'm actually a Huddersfield fan and trying to complete a collection. Thanks for the help !

....and Ray Veall played for Huddersfield so I expect that's the link. Mind you, Ray Wilson also played for Huddersfield, now he was a player.

Hiya lads and lasses,

I am after the autograph of the former Everton player Ray Veall who played for you between 1961 and 1965, I am wondering if anyone has anything signed by Ray that they'd be willing to sell to me or maybe a signed photo or team sheet which could contain Veall's autograph. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Good luck this season!!

@alan ball might be able to help

...I recall that Dennis Law also played in the same Huddersfield team as Wilson when Bill Shankly was manager but I might have that wrong.
Head a great story about him yesterday - someone at OT once asked him for ID (for ome reason), he gestured for them to come with him - he took them outside, pointed at his statue and said "will that do"? The staff member was mortified lol

Sorry mate, I was bleary eyed due to being up early because I had to drive 150 miles to a family funeral, and drive back, so forgive me for not noticing the Bluetooth keyboard had not registered the odd letter.

But well done on that, great job.

Ray Veall ..I remember him well..he was one of the wingers we tried over many seasons, hoping that one of them would prove to be good enough to finally replace Tommy Eglington when 'Eggo' moved on to Tranmere, which in those days was a sort of graveyard for former Everton stars. It seemed we signed hundreds(well....) of left wingers...Ray Veall, Bobby Laverick, Eddie O'Hara, Jimmy Fell, loads more. Best of the lot was Tommy Ring, a brilliant ball player, who had a cracking first few games for Everton and then broke his leg at Chelsea.(Our luck was not great, even then!). The only thing I remember about Ray Veall was Roy Vernon cursing him loudly because he was too slow to catch Vernons passes inside the opposing full back. Mind you, it was hardly surprising when the same Vernon had been plying the young winger with drink on the Friday night in the Royal Tiger Club of fond memory, until Harry Cattericks Friday Night hit squad arrived to send all the Everton players home to their beds.

Re the Royal Tiger...Vernon was very much a regular there. He would sit on a bar stool, with an orange juice on the bar, and his 'hard' drinks balanced on a little shelf under the bar....very very often, but especially the night before a game.....
