If the tv has a physical on/off button, press it and keep your finger on it for around 40 seconds. This gets static from off the motherboard. Also works with laptops. Worth a try.

Seems simple enough. Will give it a shot before I blow up the tv

Same thing happened to my LG tv found a few fixes on youtube something about burnt out capacitors on the board opened up the back on mine looked at it and thought feck that and took it to the dump

Maybe it's the aerial. Get a couple of cowboys to go up on the roof and give it a tweak.

Yeah sounds mental but it's exactly that, something about removing the main board and then baking it for 10 minutes. I'll probably find out that it was some hilarious ploy to get loads of people cooking their tv's but I genuinely read it and saw loads say it worked.

My oven is broken so I'm just going to assume sticking it in the microwave for 90 seconds will do the same job!
