I know its a little early but every Christmas myself and 3 friends pick a neutral football fixture over the festive period for an away day out. This year we are visiting Goodison Park to take in the game against Stoke on Monday 28th December. Bearing in mind we will be arriving at Liverpool Lime Street Station Id be grateful if you could give me any advice on the below.

1. Best places to go to sample the atmosphere for a few pre-match drinks.
2. Best place to sit in the ground (the more vocal the better)
3. Best places for post match drinks in the city centre.

Any advice would be gratefully received.

You can easily join in with number 2. The words go "BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" and can be joined in with anywhere in the stadium

Sit in the Park End to best soak in the atmosphere, it's got it's own boo section. Plus everyone gets off at 70 min so you'll get out in no time.

You must have drawn the short straw picking that game, I can't remember an exciting Everton/Stoke match in 30 years.As for sampling the atmosphere don't expect much as it's been flat for years now due to our lack of success or progress

3. Most places in town, apart from Mathew Street, unless you are a middle aged wool

We have no atmosphere sorry.. Choose another team to go and see unless you like fans moaning because Lukaku hasnt controlled a hopeless ball up field and megged four defenders and scored.. He has to do this everytime he gets the ball otherwise the groans and boo boys are out.. Enjoy mate
