Help -iTunes Problem

Help. I have had a few problems with my laptop and it is telling me that I need to reinstall iTunes. Will this mean that all the music etc that I have faithfully copied from CD to the iTunes library will be lost, or can I make sure that these files remain on reinstallation.

Any clues ?

If all your music is only stored in the i-tunes folder you may have lost it all, I'm not quite sure. However , if most of the tunes are on an i-pod there are programmes you can download that will put them back onto your computer

Your music files should all be saved away in your music folder somewhere. Reinstall iTunes, and you'll just have to add the files again to be played again in that progamme

Thanks - all good.

Moved iTunes music file before installing then installed. Not sure if necessary but moved back afterwards and still there
