Hello Evertonians,

My name's Derek, I'm a Scotsman living in County Durham, I'm a Falkirk and Scotland fan since childhood but one of my best mates is a huge Everton fan so I've seen lots of games over the past few years! I've always liked Everton due to the fact they always had a strong Scottish connection and they are a real club with passionate supporters! Over the past few years though I've found myself really shouting for the blues, why is this? What's going on? Is it love?

Anyway, was just browsing the forum and thought I'd sign up for the crack! :)

Hi mate. We actually stopped doing the free crack initiative a while ago. Too many members were joining up to numb the pain of being Scottish.
 
Welcome pal, I root for Pars. Was surprised at the level of dislike between them and Falkirk when I was first up there.

We have a few other blues on here from County Durham. You're also sound to openly despise England on here, it's encouraged in fact.

I thought The Pars were rivals with Raith Rovers. But then I know very little about football.

But both are deffo in Scotland.

Oh, England are ace.

I thought that too and they are, but they hate Falkirk much more.

I just drink beer and nod my head in their bars, it's better that way. Big up The Creepy Wee Pub.

I think someones life must be a bit empty if they can drum up enough emotion to hate Falkirk.

Reminds me of a visit to Cheltenham Towns forum the other year. They loath Hereford United. And Gloucester City.

And just do not raise the subject of Forest Green Rovers.

I'll keep quiet on the England front for now! Don't wanna look like an idiot after they turn up at Celtic park next month and put on their best, most passionate performance since, well..... the last time they played Scotland!

Aye the Falkirk and Dunfermline rivalry is a strange one! Not quite sure where it comes from but I used to go to all the Falkirk games in the 90's and Dunfermline was defo the one that got our 3000 fans most passionate!

edit : Chuffin' hell, just looked at your profile. I have family in Witton Gilbert so we're practically related. There's a boss butcher's in Sacriston. Not much else like though.

There's been a bit of trouble around the game going back a while so I know that doesn't help.

Woah there beardo, I've driven through Sacriston on many an occassion and never felt uncomfortable.
To be fair, that probably says more about where I was brought up than Sacriston ... carry on.
