Where about are you from? How did you find these forums?
I’m from just outside Liverpool and had been browsing bluekipper and Toffeeweb before I came across the GOT forums. Been an interested reader and observer for a while now and not really sure what’s taken so long to sign up.
How did you become an Evertonian?
I’ve been an Everton fan since my Dad took me to my first game against Coventry in '98. I fondly remember walking up the steps to our seats being awe inspired by the size of the pitch and the packed stadium. At the end of the game, seeing the fans rush onto the field, watching on with my Dad is a great memory for me. He’s a blue in a big family of reds and never pressed me to choose sides. That’s probably why I’m an Evertonian.
Your all-time favourite Everton player?
Having had a few season tickets and being of a generation where we’ve so far been unable to witness any trophy success I have a few favourite players. Nigel Martyn always came across as a great guy and needed presence in goal. Mikel Arteta was someone who I knew from the classic football manager/ champ man games and always liked. Wayne Rooney’s another, maybe a bit controversial but I’ve not seen another Everton player live that really sparked the crowd with anticipation and excitement like he did when he arrived on the scene, despite everything that’s happened afterwards.
Your current favourite player?
At the moment my favourite player has to be Steven Naismith, he seems a top bloke and has a modest sense of class that I feel embodies the club well. On any given week though it could easily be one of our fullbacks Oviedo, Baines or Coleman.
Pineapple on Pizza, Is it socially acceptable? What are your views?
Being honest I can’t say I’m put off by the prospect of a naughty Hawaiian!
