Hi Blues,

I've been a frequent visitor to the forum and have never really taken the plunge to post, so thought I'd take this opportunity to introduce myself.

I'm a third generation blue. In fact I remember being taken to my first game with my arl man and both grandfathers, all lifelong blues. It was us versus Newcastle Utd in the mid 90's, which if I recall we won 2-0. Great experience for me and remember it all clearly.

I'm looking forward to the season ahead. I know we've had a jittery start with our fair share of injuries at the moment and several key players missing. As you know it's never easy being a blue but I'm sure we'll come out right.

Anyway looking forward to getting involved and chatting with you all.

Welcome to GOT mate. ;)

Was it the match were Amokachi got both our goals? Was there myself. One of only two home wins I witnessed since I started coming over to Goodison in 1993.

Ha yes that's the one. Think it was an evening game if I recall. He was great Ammo, I was gutted when he left us.

Looks like I'm not the only jinx when it comes to results. My track record lately is shocking.

Definitely a night game yes.

Hahaha, we can't even beat Palace at home when I'm around.

Ha ha quality. Went the Cardiff game at home last season. We were drawing 1-1 and as soon as I leave the ground we score in the 90th minute. I must bring some bad vibes to the game with me. Was going to get a season ticket this year, but probably wasn't a good idea.

Welcome mate.

Any good at poetry?

Cheers mate. I do have some classics although I doubt they'd pass the swear filter. However in the meantime i've put together a little ditty.

There was a nice chap good Boss_Blue
A Toffee through and through.

But things aren't the same since he went the game and Earl Barrett had asked for a chew......of his Everton Mint.

Got any good ones lar?

@Blue_Blood responded with rhyme,
I thank him for taking the time,
To recount when Earl Barrett,
Was covered in claret,
At the scene when my arl fella arrived.

(I was only a kid when Barrett graced the hallowed turf)

Haha brilliant.

Only once in a generation will a footballer come along that matches the skills and wizardry of Mr Earl Barrett.
