As part of a health kick a while ago got into eating likes of yoghurt/granola/fruit and grilled chicken or fish with nuts/quinoa/seeds stuff all for breakfast/dinner basically the first time in 40 years.

And they taste amazing and leave you feeling great rather than bloated.

Other ideas?

White wine's ace with fish, with a fairly light red going with the chicken.
Probably not at breakfast though.

Granola really isn’t good for you it’s a myth.

Aubergines

*taps nose*

Sliced, lightly salted, bit of olive oil and then griddled or barbecued for two or minutes minutes each side. Serve as a simple starter with something like a tzatzki dip and a glass of cold beer on a warm day and you know you're in a good place.

Obviously the warm day bit means you're likely not on Merseyside, but you have to take the rough with the smooth.

If you stick pineapple on pizza, your weight may fluctuate depending on your metabolism but definitely gain no respect

Sounds delightful. Made a bit of brinjal bhaji today myself. Btw it says vegan on that recipe, but for me it’s improved with a dollop of ghee in there.

Not that fussed about ghee tbh, I ( and my arteries ) prefer olive oil for cooking in, but aubergine in a curry is boss, amd they make ace bhajis.

As is melitzanes me tiri in the oven as the Greeks / Turks do it. If you're going to die from too much saturated fat, then cheese rather than ghee is the way to go.

Honourable mention for melanzane alla parmigiana too - possibly my favourite of the lot.
