Hate the NY-LA obsession. Out of those it'd be DC
But I'd sooner visit some cities with real character:
Detroit
Cleveland
St Louis
New Orelans
Baltimore
Pittsburgh

NY. Used to live in LA, haven't been to NY.
I like LA though and would have thought it a fun place to visit. U need a car though.
