Have we had a worse Christmas period?

Player Valuation: £40m
The excuse pre Christmas was that the players and manager where focusing on Europe.
Dreadful defeats to Crystal Palace and Swansea in the cup amongst others, masked by the quality on the continent.

We entered a 4 game period against utter dross on the back of an uninspiring win over QPR. I said to my brother I would be worried if we took less than 7 points from the fixtures. We ended up taking 0 and putting in shifts reminiscent of Walker and Kendall III.

For me, he has to go. In August I truely believed we had the 4th best starting 11 in the League. We look devoide of ideas and confidence and the players appear to have downed tools.

Only one action left to take...

We will play Citch next in the league and I think we will lose given the [Poor language removed] we are in right now.

Remember saying how worrying it was hitting a bit of bad form just before the festive period. That's when the table is shaped as the games come so quickly.

4 defeats on the spin is atrocious. Obviously couldn't be any worse, especially with the injuries as well.

The worst thing is that there are no signs at all of recovery. It's getting worse.

We've had plenty of worst christmases than this just in my time as a supporter.

Walter Smith lose 5 games in a row over december and january just befoe he got sacked.

And in 2005 under moyes. We lost 4 in a row then including 2 4-0 thrashings by villa and bolton and ended witrh a 3-1 home defeat to liverpool on the 28th.

Sadly I remember them, but in regards to our current players and the oposition, I am shocked and disgusted to take nothing over the festives. We have an excellent team on paper so something is very wrong behind the scenes.

But we subsequently beat Sunderland and Charlton. We couldn't beat a carpet right now if the carpet was pinned to the ground.

We've lost four games - I can remember someone saying that we needed at the very least 7 points from those games. I said that the way we were playing we'd be lucky to get four. We got NONE!!

Today was clueless and worrying - Barry chosen ahead of Besic at half time???
Last game we won Besic and Barkley played deeper so lets change a winning formula??????

Martinez has turned our team from the 5th best overall with the 3rd or 4th best defence to what it is now.
That is some feat!

This current run reminds me a bit of the festive period in 93 just after HK walked. We didn't score for 6 games on the bounce under jimmy Gabriel, losing 5 of them and plummeted down the table.

That was the season we should have gone down, only surviving by the skin of our teeth after the Wimbledon game.

After losing 2-1 to west ham at home, 4-0 to bolton at home, 4-0 to villa away and then 3-1 to the kopites, I didn't think we would win another game in ages too.

And then we turned it around. It's a bad spell but no it's no worse than 2005 was.

Thank god for Harry Redknapp's god awful away record with QPR. Thank the fixture machine for not having us have gone there instead of playing at Goodison.

When I was 9 I wanted a scalextrix but ended up with a TCR, I was gutted.

Turned out okay though because actually TCR was much better and you could change lanes anytime you wanted and were'nt stuck on tram tracks.

Swings and roundabouts I suppose.

...maybe I misunderstood.
