Toffeeweb hate themselves, the club is just a convenient distraction for their self loathing.

Ran by belters for belters.

Never a truer word spoken on this forum. I haven't read Toffeepleb for years. Being cynical and critical is all well and good and the board deserve scrutiny no question but TW only ever see the bad and invent situations to make things seem even worse. Bannings for questioning their negative tirades seem common too. (n)

I don't understand the politics of club football,This all sounds Like Hibbert scoring the winner in the derby from forty yards at anfield in front of the Kop, but not an impossibility, as i asked in another forum why does it
seem like we last minuet panic buy in the last few days of the transfare window, why has there not been an offer on a club with european ambitions and experience,BK said "i would sell the club tomorrow if i got a good offer",(season before last) how many clubs of lesser pedigree have been sold, including city who have struggled for decades in that time, the club were supossed to have employed top people to find a buyer, how much did they pay them who have they come up with ? Last season moyes said Johnson was not leaving the club, This season he said Lescot was going nowhere,What the hell is going on ? no ones telling us, yes i know we made money on the deals, but who is it next season yakubu ? Arteta ? Cahill ? Jags ?I believe BK is not listening to offers because he is a control freak, he is in love with the idea of being Mr Everton and will fight tooth and nail to keep his hands on it. his intentions (if believed) are good because he is Blue through and through, but he's stopping us progressing into being a top four team for his own ego.
please dont pick out bits to have a go at me over this, i am asking you to ask yourself because i cant see my club fall to bits and become a second class selling club, What happens if Moyes has enough and joins another club
Its only his management that is keeping us going.

So thanks to Kenwright we aren't a glorified fantasy team owned by some Middle Eastern oil baron or a Russian kleptocrat? After reading this tripe I love the man even more.

would you feel the same if we sold jags and yakubu next season or arteta and cahill, and ended up in the same position as accrington stanley in 10 years time.

Most of the players we sold were ones that didn't want to be here, and/or were of no use to the team. We managed to get 10.5M for Johnson (who at this point in his career is a poor man's Charlie Davies) and a ridicilous fee for Lescott. We turned Lescott into 3 players and with the money and wages we have prob spent more than the 20M we got for him. Not sure if that's being cheap.

Or we can get "investment". Odds are it's not going to be one of the 10 richest men in the world who will be OK with losing 100M/year by Abromivizing the squad. It will be more like what Portsmouth got and look at where Portsmouth is now a team that vastly overspent b/c they what wanted to finish 7th? Or maybe we'll get lucky and get "good" owners like the Lerners. Well look at Villa now. They got about 15M from sales and only spent about 20M despite being one decent CB away from a top 4 spot.

Your Totaly right Rook, But if finnishing fifth, getting to a wembley final, being in europe on a regular basis for about 4 seasons, isn't an atractive proposition to an investor, What is it we have to do ?
obviously winning the champs league,But why are investors looking at City, Villa, Portsmouth, Newcastle, and not Everton ?

becuase their stadia wont take as much to bring up to standard maybe?

You are right we are not for sale.
I am surprised by how many people are brainwashed by that lying kenshite,i think he has family members on this site

Indeed, it was clearly stated at the stadium inquiry - but we are still looking for "investment"
Until a decision is forthcoming regarding the stadium nothing is going to change on the club ownership front, quite understandably.
