Just read about the safety deposit robbery at Hatton Garden, apparently they entered the premises on Friday evening,and it was only discovered there had been a robbery yesterday morning,saying on BBC news that it could be the biggest heist in U K history.
 

genuinely thought this was going to be about ricky hatton caught robbing plants out of a garden or something like that

kinda disappointed now.

All I have to offer really. Most of the stuff in them was probably well dodge anyway.
 

Sounds like something from Mission Impossible

Criminals cut through roof
Knocked the wall down and took the CCTV cameras off the wall
Abseiled down lift shaft and used heavy cutting equipment to reach underground vault
The gang cut through two rows of metal security bars before disabling the alarm on the vault's main door
They then used heavy cutting equipment to get through the 18in metal door

.....seems a real old fashioned heist. Presume safety deposit box contents are private so the value might never be known. Not sure how this is covered via insurance. Have to think there is considerable safeguards in place, wonder if there was any inside help.
 
Bigger question now i know what the story is about.

How the hell can you steal something like this and no-one notice for 4 days? surely someone should be spotting something being amiss here.

I take my hat off to the robbers, clearly outsmarted everyone involved here, can't commend them but great job.
