Modern football might be technically more accomplished than ever but as entertainment it absolutely stinks. Just watched that Manchester derby garbage. Even worse than our last derby. And typical of what's being served up throughout the PL week in week out. Devoid of momentum, of cut and thrust, of do or die passion.........basically, of excitement.

Goes in cycles doesn't it. Defences are on top at the moment, because Attacks were on top a few seasons back.
Will swing back the other way again soon when Teams need to score.

I think it has a lot to do with teams not looking for wins and trying to avoid defeat at all costs as the money involved is crazy to miss out on.
