IFso when they put you on hold and you hear the music can they still hear what you say?

Silly question but its important for something I need to know

Yes mate, I've worked in a call centre and I def remember you could still hear them. Used to hear them say all sorts

Not only can they still hear you, but they can access your bank account and download the sex tapes of you and your bird..........

Depends

If you can hear music then they can't hear you because the music is a separate line that the advisor can't listen to.

If the line just goes quiet, they've muted you on their phone, so you can't hear them but they can hear you.

If you need to go and check something, not putting someone on hold is actually classed as turret abuse in most call centres and an advisor can get in a lot of trouble for doing it. If you suspect someone has done that to you, then challenge the guy on the phone and escalate to a complaint if you deem it appropriate
