sounds like a strange question i know, but maybe someone has been given a ticket or maybe the only way to see the game was having to sit in the away end!

the reason being, last night alot of people , pundits and players have said how much the crowd influenced the team when we got behind them.

ive obviously sat in with the away support at our own matched and heard various other clubs fans.

i was just intrigued to know if anyone has heard goodison in full harmony from an away fans perspective and is it really that intimidating.

im guessing the atmosphere would come across a hell of a lot different at goodison being sat in amongst 3000 or so away fans that have been silenced by one of our goals. a late winner like last night must surely be even worse for the away end!
yes in may 1985 against West Ham Utd , we won 3 -0 , I went in with no colours on and when we scored I forgot and jumped up celebrating, was drenched with cups of p1ss and pelted with meat pies . Loved West Ham since then . lol

Used to quite often go in the ground at the Park End early seventies ,there was no segregation then and there would generally be a charge from the back dispersing the away fans into all corners. It wasnt nasty at that time more verbals and scarf snatching.

I have. A friend had a spare ticket and is a Baggies fan. I drove up and they beat us 4-1. I was not too happy on the way back but in fairness they were far superior that day. Day was spoilt further by the poor behaviour of the home fans on the tier above spitting on the away fans.

I've got tickets for the Southampton match in the away end. Well the portion that was given back to us as unsold by the Saints.

Not the same I suppose, but should be a bit different than the usual seats!

Me too! Coming to Goodison for the first time from California for the game, I'm told there's about 30 other people from the USA there as well. I'm in UV2 I believe. Can't wait!

UV2 Also.

Got a blue mate from down south coming up for new year, so we decided to go to a match while he is here! :)

Enjoy the match, mate! :D

Says who?! The biggest thing to ever happen to Saints is that arrogant pollock Matt Le Tissier.

Yes once when I was about 11 or 12.
I stood in the old park end with Man United fans in the game when Lee Sharpe scored and done his silly dance at the corner flag.
I cheered along with the mancs convinced that they knew I was a scouser because I had a berghaus coat on and Reebok classic ha.

A bit different but we played the shhhhyte at Anfield in the Fa cup I was in the main stand and we were getting beat 1-0,Dave Watson equalised and me and my mate jumped up and celebrated as if we were in the Gladdy only for Ian Rush to score straight away from the kick off.
Ha got slated by grown men even though I was only 13 I think haha.

It used to just be pay on the gate, and pretty much a shared terrace so if you had the inclination you could "mingle" with away fans especially underneath the terracing
Must have been horrible , going in there for the away fans, downstairs after half time was a thing you didn't want to even think about if were an away fan even to go the toilet.
West Ham one year , gave it up just after the first half and all left only about a dozen of them stayed to watch the second half.
Was that bad at half time a little wooden kiosk, think it sold programs or something got flattened by the volume of Everton fans surging towards the away fans ,don't blame them for getting off if I am honest.
St end used to look quite good for the bigger games.

Slightly different but been in the home ends when we've played away. Best time I've ever seen it was when I was at Spurs away in 2006, stupidly bought an adult ticket (I was 15) in the home end, with our end not even selling out! I was there on my own, we went down to 10 men, won 2-0, fans opposite me were bouncing!! Great day out!
