If you kill someone, copper or not, unless it's self defence or genuine accident ie. murder you should never see the light of day again.
Whole life tarrif or death sentence, I don't care. Either way, shouldn't be let loose ever again.
You only highlighted a partial sentence; if something's other than (genuine) self defence or an accident, it's usually murder or manslaughter isn't it?Run that one by me again chief.
He's an old man who's served nearly 50 years in prison. It's not conducive to the public good to keep in prison. Having done the time he should be allowed to live whatever time he has left in freedom. As hard as that will be for the victims families, it is all about what is best for the wider public. There is no point keeping an extremely low risk old man in prison when there can be a much more dangerous threat in the cell he would have been taking up.
