Worthy of a place in England squad?

It seems like this lad is living the dream, boyhood Spurs fan scoring 2 past Arsenal in the North London derby, comparisons to Shearer and the return of the traditional centre forward.

Or is he another Grant Holt/Rickie Lambert?

Seems to have something about him for sure.

He could well be a one season wonder, but i'm all for players in form playing for England. So i'd put him in the next squad for sure.

Pictured celebrating Arsenal's 'invincibles' title win as a 10-year-old, with red Ljungberg-esque hair :p

Looks the part to me and seems very grounded too. Next season will be his big test - big fat contract, defenders will have done their homework on him and no doubt pre season speculation about so called bigger clubs wanting him - Manure, Real Madrid etc. If he can resist all the baggage, there's nothing to stop him from going all the way in my opinion.

Better that he 'supported' them but played for us rather than the other way round?

Like, Steve McMahon, Gary Ablett, Steve McManaman, Robbie Fowler, Michael Owen, David Thompson, Jamie Carragher, Stephen Warnock.

(i have no idea if they are correct, info straight from the mouth of Google).

He should definitely be in the England squad based on current form, in fact he should be the 1st striker named on the team sheet! He's been by far the best English centre forward in the PL this season!

Lacks a bit of pace and is not as clever as Sheringham was. An old fashioned number 9 though, excellent in the box. He hasn't got as much to his game as Lukaku, but similar playing and is flying currently. As people have said though, next season will be the decider. Lukaku has scored 15+ league goals in consecutive seasons and that is the test for him.
