What I find funny is how he is being hailed as a hero because he was able to come down on the golf course therefore avoiding houses in the area, how do they know avoiding the houses was on his mind, maybe he thought it was safer for himself to crashland on the golf course because it was an open area.

The local residents of the area wanted that airport closed as its situated in a built up area, they had petitions and meetings but couldn't change anything. Mr. Ford voted to keep it open, no surprise.............wonder if they went up to him now in hospital with the petition which way he'd vote now, just wondering like.
