Happy Saint David’s day to you all x
What do people in Wales do to commemorate the occasion Kurt? Or does it pass relatively unnoticed like St George's day here in England. I wouldn't even know when St George's day is without googling it. Don't even know which month it's in. I always remember when St David's and St Patrick's day is though.

Personally it’s just another day to me but I think schools and stuff make the effort to commemorate the day by having the kids dress up in traditional old Welsh attire and other stuff involving daffodils and such.

God, does this mean I have to take some daffs home to wife and regale her with the saucepan song*, or something?

*not a misogynistic song, nor an offer of domestic violence.

Down here in Cornwall they have St Piran's day, which is March 5th. This year it's a bit of a damp squid due to covid, but normally it's quite a big thing down here. All the larger towns will have some form of official celebration such as a parade or procession, and whilst the Govt has not allowed them to make it an official bank holiday despite numerous requests, most councils give staff the day off and a majority of schools are also closed. It's a tradition that free pasties are handed out on St Piran's day ;).
