Happy New Year!

personal feelings aside, happy new year to grand old team members, not a fan of new year, it lost the feel to it years ago, it's all a load of back slapping banality and half-cut miserable disingenuous "individuals", some who want to fight anyone in the bar after three half-measures.

didn't really enjoy it this year, kind of relieved it's out of the way, soon be June you know. :dodgy:

I tell myself sometimes it's still October.

Agreed. New Year is very populated by bad bells all over the show.

I'm made up I'm getting older and more boring.

Don't you mean Bad Belts?

Look, I'm er, middle age, and when it's midnight, I got the feeling of a rat's ass, and thought, 'another year', 'i've seen enough of them'

Drink or intoxicating beverages, has little effect on me, I don't know if that's a blessing or a curse, and I just got home slightly before five in the morning a little fed up more than anything else, and as the wife went to bed, stayed up and watched 'Ferris Bueller's Day Off' on VHS.

It was almost daylight before I turned in.

No, he is used to Scotland where the bell ringers get pissed

All the best mate, never take New Year too seriously, if you do it becomes a total depression of self indulgence, just get pissed without thinking about it

I haven't been 'pissed' since about 1997, and that is the honest truth, been half way there a few times, but never incapable or actually anywhere near it, which makes New Year something of a wet blanket.

While other "degenerates", and I know a few of them, are making ass clowns of themselves, I'm wasting money on drinks on a hiding to nothing, wondering when I can come close again, still I guess it's a good thing, I remember before it wasn't pleasant by any means, and I've learnt my lesson, it's only another year after all.

Wore my Everton shirt on New year 2008, and reached the FA cup final.

Wore a Real Madrid shirt on New Year 1999 and 2001 and they went on both times to win the European Cup.

Wore a Millwall shirt on new years eve 2003, and they went on to reach the F.A CUP final (Cahill et al)

I even remember years ago (1996) I was in a bar and some guy had a Chelsea shirt on and a silly wig, they went on to win the F.A. CUP.

Point being, wearing your club colors on new years eve, can reap benefits, there;s something to be learnt here.

Also, wore an Everton hat on NYE 1995, did not win anything, but did beat Wimbledon 3-2 the following day, great Ferguson performance it was.

any grand old team members who went out wearing club colors the other night, I'd like to hear about it.

I should add I didn;t wear a Everton shirt the other night, so that;s us done for this season, I feel I should apologize.

Sorry.
