Looked like he would never even win a derby never mind a medal. Was injured for the Andy King Derby win but I think he played in the Imre Varadi cup win. Great blue, truly modest lad. Decent player too.

Pretty sure the first season I started going regular he was top scorer and played as a striker getting a measly seven goals!!Also recall Mick playing up front for a time with Big Bob before reverting to centre back,although he would always get thrown forward in the last ten/fifteen minutes if we needed a goal

Stuck his head where some wouldn't put their feet, particularly remember his diving header when we beat Leeds 3-2. Steve Seargant scored one from about 3 miles out in the same game. Happy birthday big Mick.
