It's the old joke. The administration has created lots of jobs and my wife and I have eight of 'em.

Our economic growth indicators don't say where the money goes.

In aggregate it's doing well.

For most, though, its improvement isn't noticeable. That's why we keep being told how good it is.

Thought jobs and that are improving

It's like the UK. the Governemnt keep going on about how low unemployment is, yet the economy is tanked because nobody has any money to spend and there is now a significant percentage of the population that can't afford food or housing.
Yet they keep ploughing on with austerity for the poor and tax cuts for millionaires.

For a very small portion of the populace it is. The balance see no improvement.

There has been a slow but steady improvement in unemployment from the Great Recession under both Obama and Trump. However there are a couple of issues that look more structural.
