The kicker is that Jelle Vossen will only cost £5 million apparently.

For anyone who doesn't know who he is, he's a Belgian striker who last season finished top scorer in the Belgian league, lifting the title in the process. He's only 22.

But when we have to miss out on bosmans because we don't have the wages even £5 million seems a titanic fee.

That said we really need a winger more than we do a striker.

We could have a whip round.

Tell the board for a 5% stake we'll raise 5 million for the lad.

5,000,000 / 30,000 Evertonians = £167 each.

The seasons ~ 9 months which is err 39 weeks so that's, err wish I hadn't started ... £4.28 a week or about a pint and a half of beer on a Friday night during the season.

Admittedly we still have to pay his wages but this is almost making sense. I've obviously screwed the numbers up somewhere.
