iv already blagged me birds head into going to watch st pauli on the friday then hamburg on the saturday im not sure i could persuade her to go in any sex bars as well like :P

The show I was over there was called The official tribute to the blues brothers, I worked with them for nearly 4 years touring the uk and Europe (mostly Germany). We did a whole month on the reeperbahn in a permanent Circus tent called Fliegende bauten which we wrongly translated as flicking the button.

The hotel Monopol is a legendary hotel where lots of rock stars of yesteryear have stayed, lovely foyer but the rooms are absolutely filthy. I recall getting into my room when I first got there and wondered why there were so many flies buzzing around. Then I opened the bathroom door and there was a towel in the bath completely covered in sh*t that the cleaners had deemed "beyond the call of duty"

Alan Partridge stayed a few nights before you, he was just enjoying some chocolate mousse!!!
 

Was in Hamburg a couple of weeks back. Reeperbahn's a good night out but I smoked about 40 fags because of the novelty of being able to smoke in the pub -throat was ragged!

The actual city is beautiful but the outskirts are pretty grim (like most cities). Stayed in Altona and it was rife with freaks and mingin scum.
 
Just booked 3 nights in Hamburg for New Year. Unfortunately the footy is on a winter break so can't go the game. We're staying in St Pauli though.

Any tips on where to go?
