I am not very tall and and quite slight - I went dressed as an elf (not Christmas) similar to what you see in the RPG computer games or Lord of the Rings. Complete with bow and arrows, long knife.
Dead easy to do and was quite cheap. It's fun putting the make up on. Oh forgot you can pick up the elf ears on the net quite cheaply too...
