I have never heard so much moaning in my life about a pitch.

Are the players right to come out with comments on the surface, or should they just get on with it???

When i played sunday football I only ever missed one penalty. It was a horrid day pouring down on a mud logged pitch, but did i complain about the pitch, my boots, or the weather?? No, i hammered in the rebound!!!

Thoughts please.

my initial thoughts are....

1. Why didn't they incorporate a retracting pitch if it was going to be such a problem?? (fc schalke etc)
2. Why didn't they hire the guy who sorted out the Bernabau pitch??? (like 2 months ago)

Players are spoilt with the pitches they get to play on. Thats why they moan when they have to play on an average or poor one. In some ways they are right to moan, because they are more likely to pick up an injury playing on a poor surface.

I agree to an extent. However, is there a pitch standard. Or do 5 officials scuff the ground a bit and go "yeah its alright"????
