Hackers post EDL personal detail on Internet

A list apparently showing the contact details of English Defence League (EDL) members has been published online.
It has been posted by people claiming to be part of a computer hacking network known as Anonymous.
Names and addresses of more than 200 people from all over the country are on the list.

Don't really have much sympathy for them, but I wonder how much effort goes into ensuring that the info is accurate? Imagine if you had moved into one of those addresses after the alleged EDL member had moved on?

People in the EDL don't seem to want to hide it too much anyway they go on marches regularly with there faces showing and seem a bit brain dead, doubt they'll be too bothered.

A bit conflicted here

On one hand, if the EDL is so great, surely the members won't mind people knowing they are a member? Surely they have nothing to be ashamed of?

On the other hand, we all have a right to privacy and these people have been unfairly stripped of it.

Regardless of my own personal feelings towards the EDL, this isn't the right way of going about things and the people who did it should face the law

Basically, shouldn't happen - not because I sympathise with them, but because it allows them to paint themselves as victims, which is the last platform you want to give a group like this.

Can't see this ending well. Shame we can't just stick the EDL and whatever Anjem Choudhury's lot are calling themselves at the moment on an island somewhere and let them fight to the death using only saws and pans as weapons.
