Just had it from a relatively reliable resource - they dont normally talk cr4p - that Gudjonson is coming on a years loan and Ledley will be signing permanently. No links, no source, no apologies. Just a good old fashioned rumour. Lets see if it bears fruit.

Id be dissappointed, with both of them. Gudjohnson wouldnt play. and would waste alot of Wages, and Ledley wouldnt start this season.

To be fair, I know sod all about Ledley, but Gudjonson WAS class. I think he'd fill a hole in our squad for a season.

I've just heard from a good bottle of sauce that brown is signing and tom ato is coming on loan. I hope thats not a rumour. Paul Ince just said on sky sports news that they're just trying to play ketchup. Must be some truth in this then. Looking forward to a hotdog on saturday.

he bloody well had do if we got him, i understand get young players in and build a side together etc, but when such a good player wit his experience is there he should to be played, take henrik larsson going to united for a few months, i think he would be the perfect quick fix in our current situation

Ledley has no major strengths, not that I've seen anyway. Hardworking, solid defensively and a decent left foot but thats it really. He'd be a useful squad player but that's it really, he'd never break into the first team nor would he offer us anything different.

Gudjonson would be great in my opinion, he's a link man and we lack that type of player. Someone who can link midfield to attack and obviously he's got goals in him. He can play in Cahill's position aswell.

Wages could be the stumbling block, we won't play him massive wages. If he wants to play he'll have to take a wage cut.

we would keep the 4-5-1 probably, so it would be Gudjohnson over Yakubu, and yakubu is better physically, and probably a better finisher.

i keep forgetting moyes hates anything other than 4-5-1 :(

i hate 4-5-1 its too limited, and when all we do is hoof it and miss out the midfield, it just seems to make sense to give yak some help?

It's Too limited yet we play our best football in that formation.

It's the best formation for me as it's interchangable. Players can swap positions, you always have the extra midfielder which gives the the chance to control possession and the formation can be a number of formations. It swaps between 4-4-1-1, 4-4-2, 4-3-3, 4-5-1 etc depending on the opposition, personel and what type of game it is.

4-4-2 is limited which is why alot of clubs have stopped using it.
