@STe2810 I'm not the only only to have P Nev as EFC's next manager at 33-1. Knowing BK and the board, they'll sneak down to Ladbrokes, put the whole EFC shebang on PN aiming to make a killing - and then appoint Hibbo.

Quote me on this.

I will stop following Everton if that hair dying white boot wearing clown is our next manager.

Agreed good article but also very worrying that he confirms the Denis Stracqualursi comment that was made by the fourth official. I think in those circumstances selling Beckford is a big gamble - I've got my fingers crossed that it pays off.

The salaries of the departed totalled around £9m, although it is not £9m off the wage bill once Drenthe and Denis Stracqualursi, the Argentina striker signed on a season's loan after failing to impress Sven- Göran Eriksson on trial at Leicester, plus their loan fees are factored in.

I didn't know that... I'm now even MORE depressed if that's possible.

How much will we get to spend?

If 9m of our old training ground went to the bank. The Pienaar money, Vaughans, and even Yakubu's and Beckfords money went to the bank, then thats around another £10m, not to mention saving on wages.

SURELY DM will be given the £10m Arteta money, as the £75k per week we're no longer spending on wages will be a huge help. If he isn't given that money to spend in Jan, we are well and truly ****ed.

Does anyone know if he'll get it to spend? He'll surely walk if not...

ESPN's grades of the transfer season. We have the ignomy of being last:

Everton -- 2/10

No major arrivals, which didn't look so bad until the news from the final day of the transfer window, when both Jermaine Beckford and Mikel Arteta left the club. Beckford had a decent first season, and while Arteta's form dipped over the past couple of seasons, the loss of a key player with no replacement is a big blow. Hopefully, it will give the chance for youngsters such as Ross Barkley and Jack Rodwell to step up. Denis Stracqualursi arrives as the top scorer in the Argentina first division, but the last man to move to the Premier League with that accolade -- Wigan's Mauro Boselli -- didn't score a single goal.

He scored in the league cup, and only made 8 appearances so

Just as well that you didn't listen to Tim Vickery's comments on five live last night then! He's the BBC's South American football correspondent and they got him on the air to speak about Denis Stracqualursi. He said that the track record of goal scorers who come into the premiership straight from the Argentine top division is really poor as the step up is a massive one and then finished off by saying he thought it was a real gamble. He did not sound convinced that he would make it at all.
