Group G: Brazil, Serbia, Switzerland, Cameroon

A group of potential upsets.

Also the same group as in 2018, oddly enough, with the only difference being Costa Rica are replaced with Cameroon.

Can see it being much tighter though, and also Serbia being out to get the Swiss for their pocket-referee from last time out. The Swiss are 50/50 as always, and Cameroon have a lot of quality players, so one of the more interesting groups, imo.

Serbia, if you ask a lot of Serbians, are better than Croatia were last time out, so could be potentially very interesting.

Guess the group depends on three things.

Will Serbia, Brazil and Cameroon turn up.

Switzerland are more or less guaranteed to be a safe, sensible side, as always who seem to comfortably land second place. Their game with Serbia will be the judge of who finishes runner up.

Just watched a good documentary on BBC4 called "the green lions" Cameroon 90. Very interesting and poignant, sad that two of the world cup squad from 1990 died young.
Never forget that opening match victory over holders Argentina on a Friday evening when they only had 10 men, one of those games that sticks in your mind for ever.
