The group of death ....

... for Brazil if they don't smash everyone.

Has a host ever been under so much pressure?

2nd place could go to anyone. Croatia have the most quality out of the three (in my opinion) but Mexico and Cameroon will fancy their chances.

I would be stunned it they don't. Croatia and Cameroon are decent sides, but not great. Mexico is a shadow of its former glory this cycle.

Croatia are very average, playing on reputation these days. Cameroon will sneak second place. Brazil will look amazing before getting to the knock out stages and falling away.

Brazil actually have a very good chance not just because they are hosts. They have had teh balls to drop the under achieveing big names (Kaka, Ronaldinho etc) and gone with the quality (hence no Lucas or Coutinho)

Have they gone with quality though? i think their squad is badly fudge x

Goalkeepers: Júlio César (Toronto FC), Jéfferson (Botafogo), Victor (Grêmio).

Defenders: Daniel Alves (Barcelona), Maicon (Roma), Marcelo (Real Madrid), Maxwell (Paris Saint-Germain), David Luiz (Chelsea), Thiago Silva (Paris Saint-Germain), Dante (Bayern Munich), Henrique (Napoli).

Midfielders: Luiz Gustavo (Wolfsburg), Paulinho (Tottenham), Ramires (Chelsea), Fernandinho (Manchester City), Oscar (Chelsea), Willian (Chelsea), Hernanes (Internazionale), Bernard (Shakhtar Donetsk).

Forwards: Fred (Fluminense), Neymar (Barcelona), Hulk (Zenit St Petersburg), Jô (Atlético Mineiro).

Apart from Jo that is pretty ace

Not many squads to match that in terms of balance and man for man quality.

Croatia should qualify from the group.

Our attacking part of the team is way ahead of Mexico and Cameroon, team chemistry is fantastic with our new coach (our Braveheart) and that should be enough for booking, at least, #2.

Can't wait to see the opening game.

Croatia vs Mexico will be one of the best matches of the tournament.

GDS, Vela, Chicharito, Gullit and Guardado vs Modric, Srna, Mandzukic, Rakitic and Kovacic.
