Some people are born with a disposition to irregular heart problems which are nearly impossible to detect. Some people never find out until it's too late, happened to my friend's uncle a few years ago.

Aye, same thing happened to one of my best friends, she had a "turn" when we were away in Thailand back in 2001, where her heart stopped and she was rushed to hospital and revived. Nobody ever managed to explain it and it never happened again.

Last year, she felt like she did before it happened last time, and took herself to hospital and they were able to monitor her properly and prevent her heart stopping. Turns out she has a very rare heart condition and it could happen to her at any time. They said she'd bloody lucky to have made it this far! She has had to have a pacemaker fitted at 32.
