I know, I know. Pipe down. I know this will have been done before. Probably by me too, but GOT recently caused a stir on Facebook asking this question (1,900 responses) recently so I thought it's worth revisiting.

I think Greggs wins because of their sausage and bean pasty.

What say you?

Poll to follow. Whoever wins will be asked to sponsor GOT.

Jesus Christ almighty.

I've pondered this long and hard and the truth pains deep inside but its Greggs.

It should be Sayers if you're scouse as youve been brought up with a sausage roll in your grid to stop you kicking off as a kid in town but over the past few years Greggs have pulled away.

Shout on the sausage, CHEESE (missing in the Sayers equivalent) and bean melt. A fine pasty.

You got to compare the two flagship products though: chicken pasty and sausage roll.

Greggs are superior in both areas.

Greggs v Sayers?, That's like asking would you prefer to eat your own [Poor language removed] or drink your own puke. Both horrible.
In truth they are both very poor. Neither know what a true cut of meat is. Sad to say but neither can offer a pasty that ever comes close to a traditional independent bakery. In many ways their both as bad as McDonald's and the like.

Vermin.

Bye lads... @GrandOldTeam is drunk, and won't remember even banning you.

Sayers

A hangover Bavarian slice is a regular theme to my Saturdays.
what is a Bavarian slice? sayers wins this battle off the 2 worst pasty shops just because there chilli pasty is quality. sayers has been snide for 15 years though.

greggs has never been anything but garbage. who wants to eat a lukewarm/ borderline cold pasty?

the bakery in fazakerley over the road from the co op is easily the best in Liverpool by a long way. they even do satterthwaite pork pies and pork pies with black pudding.

green haulghs in the strand is the only half decent thing that bootle can claim.

peter manions on county rd used to be boss but not been in there in years.
