Following Chico's question list this got me thinking.

Does anyone really like either? The only time I've ever ventured into either is when I'm in a rush first thing in the morning for a sausage/bacon bap after skipping brekky or if somewhere at lunchtime and there's no alternative!

Both much of a muchness for me tbh.

I do however enjoy the Greggs sausage and bean pasties. Chicken curry ones nice, too.

Said it in another thread recently, you cannot beat a tradiitonal Cornish pasty. Nothing from Sayers or Greggs comes close to one of those bad boys from a proper bakery.

Nothing better. The pound bakery do two for a quid and there not too shabby either.

I'm going to get my morning toast before I make a bad food choice.

Greggs is overrated, dont really like sayers either but prefer that out the two. In my opinion little independant bakeries make the best

Agree completely. To me Greggs is the Tesco of the bakery High St - but with only the crap bits!

Well this goes without saying!

When I studied in Leeds there was a cracking little bakery in Woodhouse and I'd go a few times a week for my Cornish pasty fill. Superb times.

Greggs pasties are either freezing cold or take your tongue square out your mouth...nothing in between.

Tend to give both a miss really and opt for Subway when on London Rd

I can't vote because I do like them but it's not good prices. Mind, I only really get sandwiches from there and my favourite mexican chicken oval keeps going up in price :(

It's quite the dilemma.

Nice pic BTW.

Sayers is a very pale shadow of it's once imperious self.

Greggs wants to be everything Sayers once was.......but isn't.
