england just don't have the talent pool to kick up much of a fuss in the near future. I mean you have players like barkley and AOC, but the majority of the team will be made up of overated players like wilshere, walker, cleverley, sterling, welbeck etc. They're just very average and are overrated because they play for the bigger clubs in england; when you compare them to the young superstars at belgium/germany etc. they are worlds apart

Wilshere is a good player I think. People just bang on about him because he is english constantly... They will do the same with Barkley now mate

i just don't see it. it's not to do with him being overated; he's a good passer, but doesn't score, has no pace, can't tackle, is way too injury prone.

He acts the hardman but he's a real wuss, i think he would get absolutely dominated against the better world centre mids, they would bully him all over the shop if he could actually get on the pitch. Would like to see his hardman attitude then.

Watch the goals again and say that mate. Cracking ball to Wellbeck for the first goal and for Wellbeck's second it was an even better more intelligent ball. I don't get why you think he is fat. He's a big, strong lad who is good in the air and a proper striker in the box. You need goals to win things and so far he has shown he is able to score and create goals. I don't think he is the World's best striker but for England I'd rather have him upfront than someone like Mirallas in all honesty.

So you want us to win a world cup however you think a big strong striker, yes Italy have balotelli, Germany have gomez/klose but they all have more ability than LAMBERT. instead of a fast little player with technical ability will win us one? No-one gave welbeck any credit mate for the run he made.

As you said earlier mikey he's better than people think. Finishes well, good header of the ball, clean striker and can hit a good free kick which shows a bit of technical ability.

Depends who your first two are. If it's falcao and Imbrahimovic it makes no odds. England have got players that can play good football and win matches.

The managers have been tactically inept surrender monkeys most of the time and the press do everything they can to make life difficult too. There needs to be a manager who'll pick on form, play a high tempo game and keep the englishness for us to have a chance.

All this talk of how the continentals are so much better than the english headless chickens has only been about recently. Where the Germans better than us at Italia 90. The Dutch at Euro 96. The argies in 98. The portuguese when it went to pens???

Not really. All a myth in the main. We only look silly when we try and play an alien style.
