Honestly, one of the joys in following the Premier League for the past year and a half is that I've learned alot of geography about England. I always assumed things in Europe are close together but then I have to remind myself that England is basically the size of Indiana, and for Newcastle fans to take a trip to Brighton, that's actually a pretty long haul.

Of course, our sense of 'far' is also very different here. I regularly drive to my parents for the holidays -- 700 miles each way and my german coworkers think that's insane.

There's a saying someone told me once: "In the US, 100 years is a long time. In Europe, 100 miles is a long drive."

Welcome to the forum mate, hope you stick around you seem like a good cat... it’ll always be the redskins btw :p
