Hi folks,
Never posted on here before so be gentle wi' me. I'm a supporter of the Hi-Bees (Hibernian FC for anyone who doesn't know their Scottish fitba'). Thought it was about time to get more involved wi' the Toffees. My late Dad was an Evertonian, and I was born on Merseyside but made my way to Edinburgh at 6 weeks old. :)
I was raised on stories of Dixie Dean and Jimmy Dunn so you'll maybe guess I'm no youngster.
Just wanted to introduce myself and wish the Toffees a' the best for next Sunday. I'll be watching the game in a pub up here.
Get stuck into those reds! (y)
Cheers folks.

Welcome along Harp. I am also a toffee who lives in Edinburgh and would love to hear some of those stories you were brought up on, ecspecially since Jimmy Dunn is my great uncle.(y)

Thanks for the welcome, guys. I didn't expect anything else of course, 'cos I know Scousers (or at least the blues) are a friendly bunch.
Good to see some Scots based Toffees on here.
Chill 125, your great uncle must have been some player for my Dad to mention him in the same breath as his all-time favourite, the immortal 'Dixie'. I'm afraid it's such a long, long time ago and those stories are now a distant memory. Jimmy also played for us (Hibs) too didn't he. (y)

I believe so. I 1st became aware of him when my mum pointed him out in the wee red book and informed me that this was my dads uncle when i found out later he had played for Everton it was a major bonus.

Been looking at your great uncle's achievements on Wikipedia. Some career he had, including 8 years with the Hibs (God Bless them(y)) and 7 seasons wi' the Toffees. Picked up 2 Cup runner up medals at Easter Road and an FA Cup winners medal wi' Everton plus 2nd Division & 1st Division league winners medals in consecutive years at Goodison. And as if that wasn't enough he was a memeber of the Scotland side which defeated England 5-1 (sorry folks!:D) at Wembley, earning them the title of 'The Wembley Wizards'.
Also noticed his son, also James Dunn, won an FA Cup medal with Wolves in '49.
Forgive me if you know all this already.
