So will they get their " fines" back ? God love them. Acted against competition law, wow ! Then what did financial fair play or profit and sustainability do ? Jesus the sheer cheek of them, beginning to truly hate modern day football, its being killed.

Didn’t all the clubs pull out? I don’t remember it being blocked.

Cos they were threatened with the fact the players couldn't play international football or any UeFa/FIFA licensed competitions as they're taking part in an unsanctioned tournament. That and the fan kick off made them step back.

The ruling says that UeFa and FIFA can't impose those sanctions.

Bit odd cos I'm sure the PL new rules state that clubs can't form breakaway Leagues/tournies.

They may not be able to stop a SL forming, but couldnt Fifa and Uefa just stop players who sign up competing in their own competitions. So in effect, no more Euros or World Cup. Thats massive for players.

I think the ruling has stated they can't impose those types of sanctions.

"It had been claimed by the ESL and its backers, A22, that Uefa and Fifa were breaking competition law by threatening to sanction clubs and players who joined the breakaway league.

A ruling on Thursday from Europe's highest court found against the governing bodies."
