Grand Old Team Football - Summer 2013

It's coming to the end of the Premier League season 12/13 and I remembered there used to be a GOT 5-A-Side game every week were a group of lads on here used to just have a kick about for an hour or so.

Who started this up?
Will this be starting up again or not?

There is a decent 5-A-Side league in Kirkdale here that, just wondering whether anyone is up for it?

I wouldn't normally make a new thread but I couldn't find the original one.

It was a good laugh like, really was. I'd happily do it again depending on my job situation.

We had a side in that but it went tits up when life got in the way for a few of us.

I hear that Dels antics caused them to change it to a 3-aside format as a number of players are now nursing long term injuries.

In all seriousness it's a great idea if you can get a regular group, gutted I'm not closer. We need to sort out a southern team ijjy to take on the Northern GOT lot.

I haven't played properly for a bit but I'm half decent when I'm fit, thunderous left foot. My career got cut short by a fat right back who destroyed my left knee during a trial for Reading, I'm not bitter much.
