Gran Turismo 5

Concerning IGN's perceived bias in the reviews.....they actually offer sound reasoning:

Six years and millions upon millions of dollars later, Gran Turismo 5 is finally – finally – on sale. Was it worth the wait? For ardent fans, undoubtedly. For everyone else, however, we really have to wonder if Polyphony Digital understands that it ultimately painted itself into a corner. The expectations placed upon Gran Turismo 5, built off the back of years of waiting, refining, teasing, rethinking, hyping and overselling ultimately took its toll.

IGN scored Gran Turismo a very fitting and great 8.5, we question if six years of waiting for a less-than-excellent game is really worth it. Are we disappointed? Youbetcha. But would we be willing to wait another year for that extra polish? Heck no. At least it's finally out, right?

I think that is a perfectly legitamate reason, for the average gamer. Now I am gonna be in that tiny percentage that is a hard-core fan of the series, and I see myself, at some point, buying a used PS3 just so I can play this.

I'm more excited about that to be honest. Loved the first one.

I bought Forza 3 on the XBox360 and the replayability on it was slightly lacking for me - and I knew GT would blow it out of the water. So not surprised.

Saying that, the idiots at IGN rate GT5 lower than Forza 3! Go figure.
I have both and i got to say i do not think there is much difference(graphically) I think they are both good in their respective rights and i wouldnt put one above the other..

Don't feel up for this. Have got bored of gt in he past and can see it happening again.

Need For Speed Hot Pursuit appears to be the car game for me!
