GRAHAM WILLIAMS RIP

We signed him from Bradford City for around £5,000, I remember his debut, think it was against Sunderland at Goodison Park, we lost 2-1.a very small outside left, tricky with a bit of pace, unfortunately he didn't get a regular game and he was moved on, he must have been a tidy age, I think Ron Saunders is the oldest living Everton player with Jimmy Harris close, so Graham Williams wouldn't have been far behind them, Rest in Peace Graham.

PS I'm presuming Ron Saunders and Jimmy Harris are still with us, pretty sure Jimmy Harris is.

I believe his nickname was 'Tom Thumb', so he must have been a bit of a titch.

Can't remember exactly what year(s) that I saw him play or indeed was it in the Central league. He was a nippy left winger, quite small with a
barrel chest. I remember in about 58/59 waiting outside the players entrance, he was strutting along Goodison Road from Stanley Park way,
he looked really cocky in his dark blue suit laughing and joking with the fans. I always thought he looked like Norman Rossington (Of the old
Army Game) comedy on BBC. Rest in peace mate.

Met him a couple of times, many years ago. Know a couple of his sons, one of whom was a tricky winger like his Dad. Played at a good level as well.

I attended Graham's funeral today. He arrived in a horse drawn carriage with the horses decorated in the Welsh colours. The coffin was draped with the Welsh flag. Abide with me was the main hymn, and he certainly got a great send off. RIP FLICKA
