Just seen it on BBC website. Massively out of the blue, hope it's nothing to do with that rape comment, which i very much doubt. Could well be down to poor form since he came back from surgery. been a great player for england over 5 years and seems a nice guy even if a tad smug. as if england's tour couldn't get any worse.

He really hasnt been the saem player and the only way is down from here.

really? tend to disagree. think ajmal has been the best spinner over the last couple of years with swann in second. I've always rated him tbf, thought he's always been better than giles for sure.

He's decent, don't get me wrong.. But deffo right time, right place.

well yeah he's not one of the greatest spinners of all time, he may be up there as one of englands though. he's got out the best batsman and done a job on non-spinner friendly pitches as well as doing his job with the bat, all you can ask for really.

could be a good decision he's left tbf, because monty's outperformed him on the tour and probably should have been picked ahead of him for the last test. chance for kerrigan/briggs to stake a claim now.
