I remember Lineker saying he didn't realise how good a player Sharp was until he played alongside him. I think Sharp benefited lots from Andy Gray. I loved Sharp, one of the very best of his type.

Thought Eastoe brought him along , from being a a bit raw like DCL now to being a bit clever on the park, never seems to get the credid he deserves for it Eggs.

..good shout, I was a big fan of Peter Eastoe. I remember saying on another thread how technically gifted he was and yet so underrated. I think somebody said he now works for a local council in the Midlands but he was a proper footballer.

Great with his back to goal, similar to a certain someone across the park, probably signed at the wrong time as the late 1970's team was disintegrating.
