Could be bad news for us I suppose, in that the TV money is the only thing keeping us even remotely competitive with other clubs spending wise at the moment

On the other hand, maybe it's right for us to take a hit for the benefit of grass roots?

Interesting possibilities on the horizon regardless
Because the government is brilliant at wealth distribution.

Shower of Tory [accurate description of the Tories Removed] see a big pot of cash they aren't getting a share of an decide to intervene, now there's a surprise.
Hopefully UEFA and FIFA shout Government intervention in the running of the sport and put some pressure on but I doubt it. Platini hates the success of the Premier League and has been trying to castrate it for a number of years now, and FIFA? well... Bond Villain Blatter hates with a vengeance the English FA for rocking his Gravy Train of Corruption, so I expect for a large fee, he'll say nothing.

Better idea would be impose a tax of fat little knobhead kids when they buy a game, so it's double

They sit in shock, wondering why we're failing, but don't see a correlation between 4 McDonald's in one street, in comparison to two football pitches in the whole town.

Not wanting to interupt the man bashing, cos who doesn't like to bash the man?, but I do think it raises interesting points about what the big clubs can do for grass roots football

Everton in the Community does a lot of good, but could our club be doing more?

Is it right to take from us to assist those less fourtunate?

How would you feel about money being taken from our TV income to help a local non-league side or setting up a football program?

I know that we're relatively the king of have nots in a league of have's, but in comparison to lots of other clubs below us in the pyramid we're doing just fine

Is a flat even cost to ALL 20 clubs fair, or should a club like us get a little bit of leeway in comparison to a City or a Chelsea?

How much should a club like Everton be expected to contribute when there are a number of clubs with better finances?

Never heard it called that.

There will be a few right options and many wrong options, any guesses which of those 2 groups of options the government will pick from...and what business is it of theirs, it wasn't the Football League, The FA or the Prem that sold off all the council football pitches
