Lay off the port and try to cut down on the pheasant and venison Joey ;)

..supposed to be a rich man's complaint, Joey. Associated with port drinkers but it's clearly wider than that. A couple of mates suffer, both different age groups. I'm sure it's treatable but it's also very painful. My daughter's a hospital Registrar, I'll ask her later for you.

I was obviously jesting about the pheasant and venison Joey, but seriously, read up about purines and try to avoid foods with high purine levels.
Diet is as important as medication in the treatment of gout

Yes but being a dieabetic grade 2 the healthy food I eat fish etc can not be helpful evindently. Cherry juice is good, but it may raise my diabetes plus my kidney disease after my tumour removal, and my adrenal gland has left me with CKD grade 3 kidney deasease if I was a horse they would shoot melol
It's a blow but medication I hope will treat it the GP was fantastic yesterday rang me at 9-15 am today to tell me it was gout as all the syptoms were not that obvious ruddy painful though he had me to a local hospital for blood test with. Urgent on it jumped a massive cue with my slippers on lol

Obviously it's complicated due to your other health issues.
You just have to trust the medics on this and follow their advice as closely as possible.
