Watched this today. Not brilliant, but still decent/good.
A few gripes:
1) Did they need to make it so obvious who the villains were? We could have guessed The Penguin from his nose for example. There was no need to change Poison Ivy's real name to 'Ivy' because she was playing with the plants, and I think they set The Riddler up quite well until Bullock said "you're weird, Nygma" or something. Wouldn't we have figured Catwoman if it were not for her feeding a cat? It was all a bit spoon fed IMO, although I suppose if you aren't familiar with the comics/films it needs to be.
2) Alfred horrendously miscast as that tosser from Skins who comes across as aggressive, snide and sarcastic rather than caring.
3) The Penguin went from being scared and innocent to completely mental in about 15 minutes, which was a bit silly. Why did he slash that fisher's throat? Was he that hungry?
4) Jada Pinkett Smith and her black henchman fella are terrible actors.
5) I spent 50 odd minutes thinking Harvey Bullock was Harvey Dent, although that's just me being stupid.
Good points:
1) Think the overall atmosphere and setting of Gotham was captured quite well on what's obviously a small budget compared to film.
2) The Riddler, from his very little dialogue, seems infinitely better than Jim Carrey's who was just annoying and ruined possibly my favourite villain.
3) I like the fact they've used lesser known villains instead of cashing in on the Nolan trilogy's popularity and using Bane or The Joker.
4) Jim Gordon's bird is unbelievable.
5) Young Bruce Wayne is far less annoying than the advert makes out.
