The non-stop discussion as to whether Donovan would come back or not really bothered me in the Everton Forum. I'm glad that thread died.

Also the stuff about "anyone who says Tim Howard is meff is anti-American".

The main difference is in marketing. The US constantly try to Flog us their cheap tat culture, burgers, biscuits, tooth rotting drinks, awful music, predictable films, at inflated prices.
The aussies don't do this because they have absolutely no culture.

So its a difficult one.

I love the Americans, but there are some major negative marks against them....

1) Their stubborn insistence on using fahrenheit measurements;

2) Their nonsensical version of bacon, which is not fit to bear the name;

3) Their cheese. Artificial travesty in a can.

Now, as I grew up in the UK, went to school there, family all still there etc.....

1) Farenheit as a unit of measurement is just better.

2) Streaky bacon is just better.

3) Cheese in a can has its place. Not a high class place by any measure, but we make damn fine cheese. I never took to the stinky moldy cheeses peddled in the UK.
